Welcome to the 2024 Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit
(GWES 2024)
A biennial flagship summit for convening women owned and women led businesses. Spearheaded by the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), it was inaugurated by his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana in 2018. Since its inception, GWES has evolved into a cornerstone Summit, with success in the 2018, 2020, and 2022 editions. In 2022, the establishment of the Women Entrepreneurs Rise (WERise) Network marked a significant milestone, underscoring GWES' profound impact in catalyzing change and driving progress.
The 4th Biennial Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit
The 2024 Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit organized under the Ghana Enterprises Agency and WERise is planned for 27th August, 2024, to be held at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra under the theme Empowering Change: Harnessing Digitalization, Sustainability and Market Access for a Resilient Future.

The Theme
Empowering Change: Harnessing Digitalization, Sustainability and Market Access for a Resilient Future
Embodies the spirit of adaptability and strength that characterizes women entrepreneurs in Ghana. It acknowledges the need for women to navigate through changing landscapes, overcome obstacles, and leverage their resilience to drive transformative change in the business arena. This theme resonates with the current socio-economic context, where women entrepreneurs face evolving challenges and opportunities in a dynamic marketplace. By embracing change and building resilience, women can not only weather the storms of uncertainty but also emerge stronger and more empowered to effect positive transformation in their businesses and communities. Additionally, the theme focuses on GEA's recent mission to introduce digitalization to MSMEs and improve market access, both nationally and internationally.
